6th Annual BMW Club of Southern California

Rally

Saturday October 17, 2015

New this year: The old Park 'N Ride rally has a new name. The rally name is now the BMW Club of Southern California Rally.

Rally: A noun defined as a large meeting or gathering of people, usually organized by a movement and intended to inspire and generate enthusiasm among those present. Also a verb; as to come together uniting for a common purpose or in a common cause.

BMW Club of Southern California Rally: Both a noun and a verb. Defined as a group of people ultimately gathered at the Rock Store to share their experiences of the eight hours they have just spent seeing bonus locations they may not have known existed. In the course of their day they have had fun and faced some challenges.

Designed for mere mortals: The BMW Club of Southern California Rally is an easy to complete day ride to some of the most interesting places in California and some surrounding states. We'll have two classes, a Novice class where you only have to cover 100 miles and go to 3 bonus locations to be a finisher; and an Open class, which is for more experienced rally riders or those who like a challenge. We've designed this rally so it won't matter if you are coming from San Diego, San Francisco, Utah or Arizona. You can start near home and won't have to travel a long distance to complete the rally or be competitive. The rally's finish is at The Rock Store.

2014 Open and Novice Class Winners

What we've done: Adapt the "acquire bonus points" goals of some of the more well known long distance rallies into an easy-to-complete eight-hour day ride (you'll have from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m to finish the rally, but you can certainly ride a shorter day) by setting up a series of bonus locations local to California, Arizona and Utah. No special equipment is needed and any street legal bike or scooter will do just fine. So if you're interested in a bit of a challenge and want to enjoy a great day of riding just click the "On-Line Rally Registration” or "Rally FAQ" and you can get started
